Horse experience

Have been riding all my life. LOVE to barrel race. I have five horses:

Tuffy, a HUGE paint, 16.3 h

Sissy, two year old paint in training

Freckles, our thirty-something rescue horse, the sixth one we have rescued and decided to adopt!....a real sweetheart

Chunky, our wayward pony who got herself in the family way, against our wishes!

FOB activities

I am the Arizona state leader for Campaigning for Barbaro,http://wwwcampaigningforbarbaroaz.blogspot.com/ , organized by Debra in WI. I am also the state leader for the Arizona call group, aka AZFOB, and Steph is our fearless leader!

I have supported and contributed to several rescue efforts through the FOB. I have also supported the MO Humane Society, the AZ Humane Society, and the HSUS. I support several local rescues, Horse Rescue of North Scottsdale, http://rescueahorse.com/, Dream Chaser PMU, http://www.dreamchaserpmu.org/, and Tierra Madre Horse Sanctuary, http://www.tierramadrehorsesanctuary.org/

I am trying to save wild horses in the Western states. I started the Petition to Save Cloud's Herd, http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/save-cloud-and-his-wild-herd. I got 5,831 signatures in about one week. It was then sent to the BLM in Montana, as well as Montana US senators, and the Dept. of the Interior. During this campaign, I was interviewed on 12 News in Phoenix, http://www.azcentral.com/12news/news/articles/2008/07/07/20080707horseproposal070708-CR.html. Click on "Federal proposal will kill thousands of wild mustangs" to view. The other "stars" in the video are "Freckles," our rescue horse, and "Sissy," our three year old, who is kissing the camera!
