Bio

I live in a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I work in downtown Milwaukee and have been a "city person" all of my life. I have a wonderful, supportive husband (he made me write this) and a great dog who we spoil rotten.

Horse experience

I love horses however, I have never owned one. I just worship them from afar. I have a special place in my heart for thoroughbreds and racing. I watched my first Kentucky Derby when I was 10. The greatest Derby I ever saw was run by Barbaro and I know I will never see something like that again. When I was 13 I dragged my family to Belmont Park. To this day, they talk about that trip and that it was one of the best vacations we ever had. I fell completly in love with Barbaro from the first moment I saw him.

FOB activities

I am part of the Campaigning for Barbaro group that is working to stop horse slaughter. I never even knew this existed before Barbaro. I contribute to UPENN, both the Barbaro Fund and the Laminitis Fund. We have to stop this horrible disease that took Barbaro from all of us. I faithfully participate in the $29.00 on the 29th of each month. I have donated towards many horse rescues: Pure Thoughts, Last Chance Corral, Exceller Fund, Angel Acres, Shiloh, Wild Rose, Finger Lakes, Canter, and HR Europe. I am a guardian angel to Falsh at Field of Dreams.

I am decorating my den in "Barbaro". I have the Fred Stone print and many others on the walls. I have books, NBC DVD, HRTV DVD, Delaware Park DVD, newspaper articles, Breyer model and of course my treasured Beanie.

I even have my husband wearing his Riding for Barbaro wrist band 24 hours a day!

FOB Network

I have organized an annual day at Arlington Race Track.
