My name is Kristi and I was born in 1983. I am originally from central PA and am currently living in Central Ohio. I work with my husband and his mother and father making draft horse show harness at our home. We also dabble in carriage and marathon harness.

Horse experience

I am a cheerleader, a co moderator for the AC4H yahoo rescue group, and a horsehelper (who places ads and answers questions for horses which are available through the rescue) for Another Chance 4 Horses in Bernville, PA. I also have several rescued horses and cats which reside with me on my small farm. I also am a firm believer of spay/neuter. I have trapped, had fixed, and released several feral cats back onto neighbors farms.

My husband is into driving, so we have a hitch of draft ponies which we show as well. I worked on a belgian draft horse hitch for several years as well. I have experience fitting, starting youngsters to drive, and also driving in the show ring. I can drive up to a four. My husband is working on teaching me to better handle a six. I also have experience with gaited horses. My parents had TWH when I was growing up. They are wonderful animals! I still have 4 retirees from that time.  :) I have a special place in my heart for older horses.

I volunteer every Wednesday at my local humane society where I wash cats/dogs which have ringworm to clear it up, so they don't have to be euthanized (as was the prior policy.) I also try to network to place any type of animal in need. I used to work for a large and small animal veterinarian, so I have a varied background of animal experience.
