Description of Rescue

We are a non-profit 501(c)3a organization that was founded by Terry Figueroa, with its primary mission being to rescue Arabian horses and a specific focus on preserving Old World European bloodlines. With the help of CJ Millar and Kristen Yiengst (VP and Treasurer), together they run the Arabian Rescue Mission. In addition to Arabians, the ARM has opened its doors to all breeds. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and find loving, permanent homes for them.

Our secondary mission is the education of horse and non-horse people in the responsibility, commitment and knowledge which can provide them with the tools necessary to offer nurturing, healthy environments for these horses.

We are of the belief that every horse deserves a caring, responsible, educated owner; and every person deserves the chance at owning one of God's most dignified and gracious creatures.

Here, at the Arabian Rescue our mission is twofold:

  • To rescue, rehabilitate and place horses who have been neglected, abused or are unwanted in permanent, loving, responsible forever homes.
  • To educate people in the care, nutrition and responsibility of horse ownership and the commitment that relationship requires.

We do things a little differently here at the Arabian Rescue. First of all, not one of us takes a paycheck. Our personal incomes directly feed and house the horses. Any donations coming in go directly to the horses. 100% of that donation.

Terry and CJ both run businesses and all net profits from those companies support the deficit between operating costs and actual donations. We both whole-heartedly believe in what we are doing and have put everything on the line for that cause.
