CRAFTY PLAYER & SHOW BOOT

Used as rabbits by Richard Dutrow to kill Commentator's chance to win the 2005 Woodward Stakes (gr.I) and to help secure Saint Liam's victory in the race and later HOY. Both horses left Dutrow's barn and "plunged to the bottom level of the claiming ranks". Where are Crafty Player & Show Boot now?

Duffel (CA) once considered a possible Triple Crown contender, Plenty Jade has been moving down the claiming ranks.[2] He was recently stratched from a race but has worked out three times since. His trainer commented that he hoped he had another race left in him.."When a horse takes a suspicious drop following a good race, such as probable favorite Plenty Jade in race 3 Thursday, there is usually a reason. Plenty Jade set the pace and finished a close fourth in a solid April 22 comeback in a maiden-40 starter. Despite the effort, trainer Bill Spawr entered him Thursday for a $16,000 claiming tag."Obviously he has some problems," Spawr explained, without being specific. Sylvie ran on June 30, 2007 at PLEASANTON. She was under special scrutiny and looked healthy. She finished a close second and paid $47.

TESTAMENT, 4 g. Collapsed twice from heat exhaustion after Race 1 at Saratoga on 8/12/07. It was a $20,0000 claiming race, 1 1/8 mi. on dirt.
