Description of Rescue
TIER is a 501(c)(3) located in Riverside, Ca, and has been in operation since 1998.
TIER rescues abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses. We work with local Animal Control Agencies to help as many horses as we can. Once a horse in our care has been rehabilitated (if needed) and is deemed "ready for a new home", we strive to find safe, responsible, loving, caring homes for them through our adoption program. Some of these wonderful equine friends remain under the care of TIER for the remainder of their time on earth as sanctuary animals. Through our Youth Outreach & Volunteer programs, these magnificent horses continue to unconditionally give of themselves as teachers of young and not so young!!
Rescue Network
Carol here! I guess I'd better chime in, since Gail tends to be pretty busy! I'm an officer of TIER and on the BOD, so I have my 'credentials'. I'm also an Arabian Horse Association officer, being club president of The Guard (Guardian Arabian Horse eClub) and on the Arabian Horse Foundation Rescue Council, so have one foot in rescue (and have for many years, both running a private, self-funded rescue here in Oklahoma and being devoted to TIER) and the other in my breed organization. TIER is our club's 'charity of choice'.. because TIER works with any organization, or any individual, willing to help the horses.
