Description of Rescue
We are a 501(c)(3) charity in Upper Marlboro, MD in the heart of Prince Georges County. TPR is run by Ms. Kimberly Clark a 25 year race veteran with the support of her barn manager John "JK" Adams as well as a two dedicated full time volunteers. TPR was officially recognized with its 501(c)(3) status in 2009; however, Leighton Farmwas placing horses since 2007. TPR is run off of Leighton Farm a 20 acre facility minutes from Washington, DC. We are a retirement program for horsemen by horsemen. We do not foster horses. We require all individuals purchasing a horse from us sign a TOA. We work with race owners and trainers to place the horses directly off of the track. In rare cases horses will come to Leighton Farm for placement. We are open for visitors from 6am-6pm Monday through Friday.
