Talk:Top Bunk List

I wanted to post a note of what seemed like an all-star race the other day at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. Maybe it was more like an old-timers game. In the 7th race at Pleasanton on Monday July 5th there was a $4000 claiming race at a mile and a sixteenth. Some of entries included 13 year old Motel Staff who has run 76 times and amassed earnings of $444,505 (close to the top bunk list), 9 year old Soupy who according to the Form has earned just under $400k, The second place finisher in the race 10 year old Grafton who is also just under $400k and the winner of the race 9 year old Tiz Afire who has earnings just under $300k and is a half sister to Moscow Burning.

I very much enjoyed the race as i honour horses like these guys...They are all gutty performers and love their jobs. I am just not sure if at this point in their careers it would be a good time to call it quits. I worry about races like this as i am not sure if its good for the game or the horses...but i am always open to thoughts. I will say the winner Tiz Afire looked fantastic...some other horses not so much...but Tiz Afire was in great shape and he basically destroyed the field. I wanted to make this post to make sure theses horses are being looked at by the top bunk list...they are all very close to making the list.
