Description of Rescue
Spring Creek Horse Rescue is a 501-(C)-3 approved non-profit, all volunteer organization located outside Durango, CO. Our founder and director has personally done horse rescue in La Plata County for thirty-two years. Spring Creek Horse Rescue is dedicated to providing a second chance for abused, neglected, outgrown, injured, and unwanted equines of all breeds. Our emphasis and goals being rehabilitation, and adoption into loving, forever homes, and helping to better educate the public on better horse care, handling, and nutrition. Our programs besides rehabilitation, and adoption include on site education, special education days open to the public, with speakers such as farriers, and vets. We assist La Plata County Animal Protection in providing a safe environment for abused, starved, confiscated, and owner surrendered equines.
Adopters must sign a contract, site inspection, and references will be checked. All horses adopted out under a non-breeding policy.

FOB Horses
9/9/08 Fob's, & private parties helped Spring Creek Bail 25 yearlings from a local KB.We ended up taking 26, one a small filly laying in one of the pens/ Mom already shipped.
