Shady Joyce is a 20 Y/0 tattooed Thoroughbred mare rescued from Thurmont Auction in Maryland on July 7th, 2007 by Celtic Rein Equine Rescue & Sanctuary with the help of the Fans of Barbaro. She was rescued along with Johnny B Quick, an 11 Y/0 tattooed TB gelding who is also at Celtic Rein.
