Description of Rescue
Northwest Equine Crisis Center is a Washington State Non-Profit Corporation. N.E.C.C. Is also a Washington State Registered Charitable Organization. We provide a second chance to slaughterbound & abused equine. Slaughter seems to be staying surprisingly strong and ending up with really nice family horses on the feedlot that were just thrown away by families. We have been determined and will stick to saving these horses and putting them in a environment where care will always be 150%
We do have an adoption application and contract that equine will go out on. Our adoption application is saved in a PDF format and we will gladly send one to you via email, fax, or USPS (ground mail). There is a simple adoption application version listed on the webiste as well, please note that we do require more screening and that is just to help speed up the potential adopter's details regarding name location and general interest.
Northwest Equine Crisis Center is always looking for volunteers. If you have experience in this field we are looking for driven individuals in the equine rescue industry that can help manage and grow N.E.C.C. We may not have a hands on spot open at all times but it doesn't hurt to ask!
We are looking for internet volunteers, contact admin for info.
Update: 2009 has been a decent year! Many horses have been successfully rescued and rehomed this year so far. None through the ABR but with the help of members active here and others. Every horse rescued is a reminder of how much each life means to all the volunteers here. We may not have the mass numbers but we value quality care and management so we are fine with that.
Feel free to call or email anytime with questions or adoption interests (and all other business) more contact info listed on website.
Any that request help.
