WESTSIDECLYDE G (2002) Another EMD track favorite; the 5yo 2x Stks Wnr has
sustained cartilage injury in his rt. front leg & will not race again this 07 season.Expected to return in 2008. T: Craig Roberts. O: Linda Elledge and James Riedinger.B: Linda Harlan Westsideclyde has a 7-1-2 record from 12 lifetime starts & earned $115,289 re art. 2006 claimer of the meet( won 5 of 7 in 2006). Almost tied

July 7, 2007 EMD FAN FORUM mentioned that a horse overheated after race 1.He was dripping in sweat and fractious. They squirted him 5 times and were afraid he'd go down. Horse was vanned off. Need to find out which horse this was.

fell backwards and got stuck in the starting gate. Was scratched; probably injured.

EMD July 20 2007 3rd race 1m $7.5k claiming;Record Rainfall/ VERY Sloppy; DEVIL'S DROP 3/g was bumped hard & fell right before the wire. The horse rolled over its shoulder/head , and lost jockey. After spill horse was unable to stand HORSE APPEARED TO BE HURT in this fall on the DVR tape. A very nasty looking spill in treacherous footing imo, though what caused the fall was the very hard and repeated bumping by another horse lugging inside. DNF. Trainer: Jim Penney Owner: Grasshopper Stable J: Ricky Frazier (A Leading Jockey at EMD) Add. note:*EQI did not note van off. The fall occurred right in front of the grandstand. ON WATCH LIST
