Horse Experience
My Husband Dan and I have both been involved with horses since we were kids, him in South Dakota and myself in Indiana. We met in Oregon in 2002 and married in 2003. Shortly after, we rescued our first QH from an auction. "Kitty" was a 21 yr. old registered mare that was skinny and didn't look like much but we knew she would have potential to teach our kids, once we got some weight back on her. A year after, we decided to move back to Indiana to be closer to family so my husband rebuilt a 1-horse trailer we bought from a cattle guy and we proceeded to haul our belongings and "Kitty" across country to our new home.
Once settled, we thought about getting a companion for our ol' girl so I started researching rescues in Indiana and came across Indiana Horse Rescue.
It has now been 6 yrs since we got involved with IHR and a numerous amount of horses have either been fostered or adopted by us and given all the love that they deserved most being seniors, blind or someone's throw aways that didn't have much time. We have also done fundraising for IHR the last 2 years.
We currently have 1 rescue horse--

We are currently a foster home/holding facility when needed for horses in need.
