Description of Rescue
Corporate Status: 501c3
Year operation began: 2008
Size: We house 2-3 horses at our rehabilitation barn and we have a few others in foster homes. We are a small operation because we focus on rehabilitation and can only work with a few horses at one time if we really want them to get the attention that they need.
Type of Rescue: Rehab/Rehome
Fostering procedures: Potential foster is screened, a barn check is done, references are checked and a contract must be signed.
Adoption policies: Ownership is never transfered to adopter, adopter must sign full contract, barn check is done, references are checked.
Source of Horses: Auctions, Former school/trail horses who are no longer wanted, OTTBs, Horses in neglectful situations
Visitor hours: By appointment
Volunteer information: volunteers are needed to help with horse care, to do fundraising, barn cleanup, paperwork, etc.
Education programs: Open to any programs that would like to be educated on horse care and/or horse rescue.
