Feather

Feather came to us by "accident"... I have an ongoing ad in the newspapers, about my missing manx Stinky, and somebody called about a grey manx that was hanging around their warehouse, next to a busy highway. Although it didn't sound like Stinky from the description - I HAD to go and look. Well, it was NOT Stinky, but the skinniest little kitten I had ever seen, with a snotty nose and frequent sneezing. His bones were sticking out, and of course I couldn't just leave him there to fend for himself, a sweet little orphan baby...

So he came home with me, was taken to the vet and treated for his upper respiratory infection, given unlimitied amounts of food, and the idea was to find him a home. BUT, the dogs fell in love with him (and so did we) - so he joined the family! He has now grown into a beautiful little cat with a very cool personality. He likes to hang out with the horses and I have seen him lay in the middle of Mango's hay, with Mango eating around him in a circle :) When my laminitic horse takes naps, Feather (or Kitty-Boy, as we call him most of the time) lies down right next to him to keep him company!

I gave him the name Feather, because that was about as much as he weighed, that first time when I picked him up. He has since then put on a lot of weight and now has a cute little belly. Here are some pictures of him:
