Dr. Kathy Anderson

Dr. Kathy Anderson was instrumental in giving the Fans of Barbaro many important updates on Barbaro. She was a key figure the day of the Preakness from the Fair Hill Training Center. Kathy has been a vet at Fair Hill since 1993 after working in equine medicine around the east coast race track scene. She grew up in western Canada and received her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatchewan, Canada. Kathy is Michael Matz's vet, and therefore took care of Barbaro when was at Fair Hill, and she continued to be a part of his care during his time at the New Bolton Center. She counts Barbaro as one of her favorite patients along with Da Hoss and several others.
