Bio
Hello, I'm Deb Lopez and I live in Franklin Wisconsin which is a suburb of Milwaukee. I am President of an Advertising/Marketing and Television production Company.
As many of you know, I’m the founder of "Campaigning For Barbaro" [1] (a grassroots horse advocacy group for the safety and welfare of all horses). As fate would have it, our boy Barbaro inspired me to launch my own non profit called “Animal Fairy Charities, Inc.” I will share more with you about this later.
I love, love, and LOVE animals and have a very special little boy/dog named DNKY. In my spare time I love to jam on my guitar and write/record music.
Horse experience
I own (in partnership), a retired thoroughbred Bond Beauty who is now in foal! I’m currently looking to purchase another 2 year old in training and looking for that “special colt” out east from Kentucky to Florida. I can’t wait to find you!
FOB activities
Although I'm passionate about many FOB activities, I dream of a safer run for every thoroughbred and the medical means to save more of them due to a catastrophic injury they may suffer.
ANTI HORSE SLAUGHTER LEGISLATION: Currently I've teamed up with Shelley Abrams (smartysgift.com)in campaigning to end horse slaughter in our country. As the AHSPA's fate stands with the 110th congress, Shelley and I have developed key contacts in DC that relay important and timely strategy for us to pass on to the FOB's. HORSE RESCUE I'm also involve in raising funds to rescue horses and to save those that may get caught up in the pipeline.
