Website: Artists United For Animal Rescue pages are now housed at the animal fund raising and info site, www.petloverspromise.com. On ABR, fund raising equine items for sale by Lee and other AUAR artists will be posted in the Horse Rescue Issues thread.

Artists United for Animal Rescue is a select group of professional artists and photographers who are dedicated to making life better for animals in need
The membership is determined by an inquiring artist sending 6 examples of their work to Lee Mitchelson. The artists of AUAR list art on ebay with part or all of the net proceeds going to animal charity. Artists who are in AUAR that display no interest in participating in animal welfare with AUAR for more than 8 months without remaining in contact with Lee Mitchelson are removed from membership.

AUAR's function is to assist animals through members sharing a portion of their net profits with the charity of the artist's choice. We also have done special fundraisers to assist people who are private rescuers, not with a charity, and individuals with an animal in crisis.
Charities wishing to have fund raising assistance from AUAR must be signed up with ebay's Giving Works program.
Mission Statement
AUAR shall support organizations and individuals who extend the hand of compassion to animals in need. We shall encourage spay and neuter programs, support palliative hospice care for animals, fund wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and help enforce protection of America's wild horses and burros and all equines. Special projects for individual animals in crisis will be undertaken, even without being under the auspices of non-profit. There are those who rescue out of their own pocket who occasionally need help in a hurry. Fund raising takes place on ebay if the charity is signed up with Giving Works, and if not, then Facebook, Twitter and various emailing lists are used that have been granted for such purposes.
